Storytelling
Graham Davey’s Storytelling – a workout for the imagination.
- From the word “go” Graham takes you by the scruff of your imagination and throws you into his world, full of branching roads and transformations, where dwell rogues, heroes, devils, dimwits, grandmas and grave-diggers.
- Comedy-based storytelling using props, magic effects and audience participation, involving at least three students.
- Fresh, compelling, and authentic, program combines the classic, the contemporary and the cutting edge in a highly enjoyable experience.
- The session's moods change as sharply and intensely as Melbourne’s weather, alternating moments of hilarity, mystery, suspense, pathos and serenity.
- Graham performs for 50-60 minutes.
- Age appropriate: 4 to 12 year olds.
- The show is entertaining for adults as well. The whole show is flexible enough to be staged in all venues and environments, even outdoors.
Graham can cater for audiences larger than 120 children, (eg school assemblies) if required, using his PA equipment. The show can be modified to suit different ages and repeat bookings.
Graham has many different themes, for example:
- traditional songs, rhymes, nursery stories and fairy tales.
- Family stories (siblings and grandparents)
- Australian stories and from overseas
- Contemporary stories.
- Christmas and more.
Graham is a well-rounded presenter and performance storyteller, with many years of experience having entertained and informed both children and adults in a variety of ways. (Remarkably he is still standing!).
Graham offers story sessions and storytelling seminars and workshops for all ages. Programs are available for Festivals, Libraries, Conventions, schools and anywhere people gather.
Fees depend on the nature and the length of the program requested, the distance required for travel, and the number of bookings within a given area.
